Catch Your Mind: Liberation and the Four Noble Truths
with Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison
Nine Saturdays, September 16th, 2017 – June 9th, 2018 | 9:00am – 4:30pm
This nine-session course will examine the core principles of Buddhism — impermanence and the Four Noble Truths – which consider the possibility for liberation of all beings.
We will also explore the related life and works of two of our most significant Zen ancestors, Bodhidharma, the first Zen ancestor, and Dogen, a 13th-century Zen monk who was also a prolific writer, philosopher, and founder of the Soto school.
How might we live in harmony with these teachings? How might we relieve our own suffering and the suffering of others?
