Contemplative Care Retreat: Courage and Joy in Caregiving

Contemplative Care Retreat: Courage and Joy in Caregiving

with Sensei Robert Chodo Campbell, Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison
and Sensei Dorothy Dai-En Friedman

The 10th annual Contemplative Care Retreat will explore teachings from Shantideva’s iconic text The Way of the Bodhisattva, on the nature of existence and compassion.

A bodhisattva is an awakening being who has vowed: “As long as there are beings, May I continue likewise to remain, To drive away the sorrows of the world.”

What might this inspiring conviction mean for each of us and for how we live and how we care? How does it apply to both giving and receiving?

Through meditation, dharma talks, yoga, personal meetings with Guiding Teachers, and experiential learning we will investigate ways of caring for each other while cultivating our own courage and joy.

20 Continuing Education Credits (CEs) are available for this retreat. There is a $25 certificate fee for CEs

4 days/3 nights, all meals are included.

Single Room: $650, Double Room: $550, Triple Room: $490

Please note that the cost does not include Dana for the teachers.
