Naomi Shihab Nye is on faculty at Texas State University and has recently been the Young People’s Poet Laureate (Poetry Foundation) for the United States. Her most recent books

are The Turtle of Michigan, Everything Comes Next: Collected & New Poems, Cast Away (poems about trash), Voices in the Air, and The Tiny Journalist, which won both Texas poetry awards.
