Courageous Intimacy: Awakening through Connection
A collaborative course with Sangha Live and Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison
Live weekly sessions, September 26th – October 23rd, 2022
We find ourselves in an age of profound alienation and loneliness. How can we awaken to our interconnection?
Through this communal 4-week journey with Koshin, we’ll learn embodied practices to help us work through our fears and delusions, embrace non-separating worldview, and cultivate intimacy with our environments and relationships.
Hosted in an interactive portal, the course will include Dharma teachings, Zazen meditation, journaling and inquiry exercises, and group discussion, to brightly illuminate the path of connection.
Over the course of a month together, we will engage in:
- Pre-Recorded Video Teachings — Hi-def video lessons from Koshin will offer Dharma lessons, silent Zazen meditation, and prompts for weekly discussions, journaling, and mindful inquiry
- Experiential Activities — Every week, Koshin will offer invitations to observe his teachings in the real world, as well as journaling prompts. These will help us to incorporate Koshin’s teachings, and foster deeper connection and awareness, in our daily lives.
- Course Buddies — Connect weekly over video chat with your assigned Course Buddy for 1-1 reflection and sharing
- 4 LIVE Interactive Video Q&A Sessions — Each Sunday, we’ll meet live as a collective to ask Koshin questions about their teachings, and to receive direct, insightful feedback
