Join us for a special evening featuring the poetry of Federico García Lorca. Marie Howe, Honor Moore, Sheila Maldonado, Joseph Fasano, Sarah Arvio, Richie Hofmann, Peg Boyers and Luis Muñoz will read Lorca’s work in both English and Spanish. Arvio, who has done the most recent translation of Lorca, will introduce each of the 3 pieces commenting on word choices and meaning as she strove to create her translations.

The second portion of the evening will be devoted to Laura García-Lorca and Francisco Aragón who will have a conversation about Lorca, his legacy and the creation of a new international prize in poetry, the Lorca Prize, for a Latinx poet.

The program is scheduled for one hour after the meditation sit, and the evening will conclude with mingling and a chance for books to be signed.
