Our half day retreat includes both sitting and walking meditation, a Dharma talk, and a private interview with a Guiding Teacher.

Trauma and Paths to Liberation

Explore how trauma compromises the capacity for pleasure, emotional engagement, and freedom. How does trauma affect the nervous system, and as caregivers, how can we support a return to trust, safety and well-being?

Foundations in Contemplative Care

September 7th, 2018- May 4th, 2019

A transformative training in caregiving from a Zen Buddhist perspective. Created by NYZCCC co-founders, Sensei Robert Chodo Campbell and Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, this experiential approach to learning provides both classroom and clinical opportunities.

Bereavement: A Contemplative Approach

Thursdays, September 13th - October 18th from 6:30pm-8:30pm

This six-week bereavement group is an opportunity to gain perspective and to begin the healing process during times of loss, transition, or crisis.

The Precepts reveal the impermanence, ego-lessness, and interdependent nature of causes and conditions. Through in-depth study, meditation, and discussion we will develop skillful ways to navigate relationships and life.
