Zazenkai: A Full Day Retreat

Zazenkai literally means "to come together for meditation". This day-long retreat is an opportunity to deepen our practice within a supportive community, hear a Dharma talk, and engage one-on-one with a Guiding Teacher.

Foundations in Contemplative Care

A transformative training in caregiving from a Zen Buddhist perspective. Created by NYZCCC co-founders, Sensei Robert Chodo Campbell and Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, this experiential approach to learning provides both classroom and clinical opportunities.

Zen Precepts: Living an Ethical Life

Ten Sundays, September 15th, 2019 - June 7th, 2020 from 10:00am-4:00pm

The Precepts reveal the impermanence, ego-lessness, and interdependent nature of causes and conditions. Through in-depth study, meditation, and discussion we will develop skillful ways to navigate relationships and life.

Through meditation, dharma talks, personal meetings with Teachers, and experiential learning exercises, we will learn ways of caring for each other while cultivating our unique expressions of compassion, courage, and joy.

Writing as a Tool for Healing

For most of us, life may provide sudden, disorienting and even disabling challenges. This writing group is an opportunity to find our way through the unknown and write our way toward healing.
