The Buddha’s Teachings at his Death

How can we transform the culture of how we attend to those at end-of-life? During this evening we will meditate and then engage a discussion on the implications of the historical Buddha’s final instruction, “Work out your liberation with care,” and its implications for our care for the dying.

Awake at the Bedside: 2018 Reimagine Festival

Join two poets and two Zen monks, Marie Howe, Nick Flynn, Sensei Robert Chodo Campbell and Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, as they explore what it means to sit with the dying, and then expresses their insights through different art.

Active Listening and Communication

Saturday, December 8th, 2018 from 10:00am to 3:00pm

Taught by certified Jungian Analyst and educator, Dr Leslye Noyes, this workshop will explain how to listen to the unconscious communication in conversation and dialogue. Using Carl Jung’s concepts of archetypes and the unconscious, we will learn his approach to material, including stories and narrative.

December Half-Day Retreat

Our half day retreat includes both sitting and walking meditation, a Dharma talk, and a private interview with a Guiding Teacher.
