51 Years Later, Still Fighting | Chodo Robert Campbell

“How do you experience the sound of raindrops as they land on the surface of the water? The breeze against your face if you’re flying in the sky? Or are you just ambling through your life with closed eyes? Stuck in your ‘I, I, I’, ‘me, me, me’.”

On the final Sunday of June 2021, NYZC held its annual Mizuko Kuyo Ceremony while the city of New York held its NYC Pride March. Chodo Robert Campbell addresses these two momentous events; the former honoring the lives and souls of children who predeceased their parents and the latter honoring the lives of all LGBTQ+ people who have struggled for equal rights and treatment.
