Contemplative end-of-life care embodies a way of being, both personally and professionally. It exemplifies the power and primacy of human connection in the healing process, and allows for the best care possible for those at the end of life, while supporting the caregiver in their work.

Guided by compassionate and experienced teachers, you will develop in inner discipline to be fully present with those you serve. We will practice mindfulness meditation, examine clinical experiences and case studies, and employ role-play and other interactive exercises during this lively week of learning and practice in community. We will also examine the joys and sorrows that arise at the end of life, the potential for psycho-spiritual transformation and growth, and the emotional, spiritual and cultural support that is available.

Professional caregivers, volunteers, those looking after an ill or elderly loved one or anyone interested in exploring this new field are welcome.

TUTION:$695

The Program will be held at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York.
