Commit to Sit: A 90-Day Commitment to Practice

Commit to Sit: A 90-Day Commitment to Practice

Program Fee: $35

Usher in the New Year with the third annual Commit-To-Sit Practice Period which asks participants to sit every day for 90 days.

For the past 2,600 years, since the time of the historical Buddha, communities have engaged in an extended period of practice known as ango. NYZCCC continues this tradition beginning on January 11, in tandem with the opening of Winter Sesshin.

Each morning an email excerpt from the study text along with a thought-provoking reflection will be sent to challenge, encourage, and delight. You will be offered further opportunities for wholehearted engagement throughout the practice period.

This year’s Commit to Sit study text is Opening the Hand of Thought by Kosho Uchiyama Roshi.
