What is Zen? It is said it is the school of Buddhism that is beyond words and letters. Yet, the Zen school has more texts, poetry and art than any other! This course is a unique opportunity to study with five Zen teachers from different Soto Zen lineages exploring Zen history, Zen koans, social engagement and ritual. The course includes group sessions in which students will develop skills necessary to extract meanings out of the tradition in a clear, tender, and lively manner. Implications for reflection in relationship will be explored.

Open to anyone, this class is part of our Certificate In Contemplative Care.
