A Jizo Ceremony for the Loss of a Child

A Jizo Ceremony for the Loss of a Child

Sunday, June 4th 2017 from 11:30am-1:30pm

A special morning for those who have experienced the loss of a child.

The bodhisattva Jizo Bosatsu is the protector of the unborn, miscarried, and aborted, as well as children who have died in the first years of life. Our service to honor and remember them is based on the Mizuko Kuyo ceremony.

Together we can acknowledge our loss, and the loss of all children throughout space and time, as we celebrate the preciousness of our human life.

Participants will have the opportunity to create an origami crane and place it on the altar in remembrance of those lost.

Please join us for our Sunday Morning meditation sit at 10am. The Ceremony will follow at 11:30am

Suggested Donation: $20
