Zen Studies is a lively discussion-based close reading of Dogen’s timeless teachings, utilizing a revitalized translation that breathes new life into the classic Soto Zen text, The Treasury of the True Dharma Eye.

 

In this lively discussion-based course, we will dive into Dogen’s reflections on the practices, teachings, and historical figures of Zen. Through an intimate study of Volume II, we will uncover how Dogen’s profound insights and grounded commentary reveal the living heart of Soto Zen.
