Mizuko Kuyo Ceremony for Loss (In Person Only)

A Buddhist ceremony to acknowledge the loss of those who have experienced a miscarriage, a stillbirth, or an abortion.

Mizuko Kuyo is a Buddhist ceremony to acknowledge the loss of those who have experienced a miscarriage, a stillbirth, or an abortion. The ceremony is also inclusive of those who have experienced the loss of a child in the first years of life.

Before the ceremony we will spend time together making memorial origami cranes on which we will write a message or name of the child before placing cranes on the altar. No experience of origami necessary.

Suggested Donation: $25 — We ask that you donate the desired amount at zencare.org/donate prior to the day of the ceremony.
