For individuals living with a terminal illness
Coming to Terms is an online contemplative support group led by Chodo Campbell Sensei, GC-C and Claire Dainin Willis, LCISW.
Meeting Schedule: Every other Thursday, 3:00pm – 4:00 pm ET
About the Group: Experiencing the diagnosis of life-limiting illness can bring forth immense grief for all of us and our loved ones. We may experience our grief in a variety of ways including new feelings towards time with family and friends, changes in relationship to our body, and shifts in our sense of identity and agency. Grief shows up in unexpected ways such as loss, shock, anger, anxiety, disbelief, guilt and deep sadness even relief and gratitude.
Sharing our experience with others with life-limiting illness can be a unique opportunity to find support. Our online support group will offer an intimate experience of community, while providing a nurturing and healing environment in which to be with your thoughts and feelings during this tender time. We will use a variety of tools such as meditation, journal writing, poetry, group sharing and ritual. The group members offer each other an opportunity to be with their full range of experiences that arise in this time of profound uncertainty.
